The Featured Horse Series
Celebrating Britain's horses through fine art portraiture
As part of my ongoing artistic practice, each month I select one horse to feature in an exclusive fine art portrait session. This programme allows me to continue exploring the beauty, character, and spirit of horses while celebrating the unique bond they share with their people.
Each Featured Horse becomes part of a year-long series, culminating in an annual exhibition showcasing all twelve portraits from the year.

What’s included
For selected participants:
Private on-location portrait session - up to 2 hours at your yard or chosen location
Professional editing and curation - your horse's images receive the same care and attention as my Wild Hearts collection
One complimentary museum-quality fine art print (10×8")
Feature in the annual Featured Horse exhibition - your horse's portrait displayed alongside the year's collection
Invitation to the exhibition opening event - celebrate with other featured owners
Opportunity to purchase additional artwork with 10 % discount - purchase prints, canvases, or framed pieces from your curated gallery
HOW IT WORKS
1- Apply
Applications open on the 1st of each month. Complete the simple application form sharing your horse's name, story, and why you'd love them to be photographed.
2 - Selection
I review all applications and select one horse based on artistic interest, character, story, and practical considerations. Selected applicants are notified within two weeks.
3 - Your Session
We schedule your horses portrait session at a mutually convenient time. Sessions take place at your yard or chosen location and last up to 2 hours.
4- Your Viewing Appointment
Within 3-4 weeks of your session, you'll be invited to a private viewing appointment (in person or online) where I'll present a beautifully curated slideshow of your horse's portraits. This is your opportunity to experience the full impact of your images, choose your complimentary 10×8" print, and take advantage of a 10% viewing appointment discount - available only when you order during your appointment.
5 - Your Print & Exhibtion
Your complimentary print will be produced and your horse's portrait will be featured in the annual exhibition at the end of the year, with an invitation to the opening event.
Who I’m looking for
Horses with character, presence, and story.
All breeds, ages, types, and disciplines are welcome - from native ponies to sport horses, veterans to youngsters, working horses to beloved companions. I'm drawn to the individuality of each horse and the depth of connection they share with their people.
Sessions capture both individual portraits of your horse and, if you wish, images of you together - celebrating the unique bond you share.
What matters most is not perfection, but personality and the story you share together.
Location & Travel
Sessions are available UK-wide, with preference given to applicants in the Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cheshire,Yorkshire and Lancashire.
For locations further afield, applicants may be asked to contribute toward travel costs, which will be discussed if your application is selected.
Annual Exhibition
At the end of each year, all twelve Featured Horses are brought together in a curated exhibition celebrating the diversity, beauty, and spirit of Britain's horses.
Featured owners are invited to attend the opening event, and selected portraits may be available for purchase.
Exhibition venue to be announced.
Previous participants have described the experience as a wonderful celebration of their horse and an opportunity to connect with other horse lovers who share the same appreciation for fine art equine photography.
Investment
The Featured Horse session, editing, complimentary print, and exhibition inclusion are provided at no cost to selected participants.
Additional prints, canvases, and framed artwork from your session are available for purchase. A curated collection will be presented in your private gallery following your session.

To apply, please complete the form below. I review every application personally and select one horse each month based on artistic inspiration, story, location, and the diversity of the year's collection.
Selected applicants will be notified within two weeks of submitting their application.

No. Your session, editing, complimentary print, and exhibition inclusion are completely free. Additional artwork is available for purchase, but there's no obligation. For sessions located outside Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cheshire, Yorkshire, and Lancashire, you may be asked to contribute toward travel costs at 45p per mile.

Perfect doesn't exist, and it's not what I'm looking for. I'm interested in character, spirit, and story - the things that make your horse uniquely themselves.

Yes! If you're not selected one month, you're welcome to reapply in future months.

That's absolutely fine - your horse will still be featured, and you'll receive photos of the exhibition and your horse's portrait on display.

We can reschedule if weather conditions aren't suitable. I want to create the best possible images of your horse, so flexibility is built into the process.
