Where the Spirit of Your Horse Becomes Art
Your horse's spirit deserves to be captured in art that reflects their beauty, strength, and soul.
I create timeless fine art portraits for devoted horse owners who want to celebrate their horse's individuality and presence. Each commission begins with an intimate photography session where I capture the essence of your horse - their character, elegance, and the unique spirit that makes them so special.
This isn't just photography; it's about honouring your horse and creating gallery-quality artwork you'll treasure for life.

Fine Art Equine Photography
Why commission fine art of your horse?
Your Horse Deserves to Be Celebrated
Your horse isn't just part of your story, they have their own character, presence, and spirit that deserves to be honoured. Fine art equine portraiture celebrates your horse for who they truly are: their strength, their gentleness, their unique personality, and the quiet grace they carry.
This is about more than capturing a moment, it's about creating a lasting tribute to a soul who has touched your life deeply.
The Tradition of Equine Portraiture
For centuries, horses have been immortalised in fine art. From the grand oil paintings in country estates to bronze sculptures in museum collections, equine portraiture has always honoured the horse as a subject worthy of artistic celebration.
When you commission fine art of your horse, you're continuing this timeless tradition.
Art That Transforms Your Home
Fine art horse portraits aren't just photographs on a wallβthey're statement pieces that transform your living space. Whether displayed in your hallway, study, or living room, these artworks become conversation pieces that draw the eye and stir emotion.
Unlike standard photography, fine art is designed to be displayed, to hold its own in your home as a piece you'll admire every single day, just as you admire your horse.
Capturing Essence, Not Just Appearance
Fine art equine portraiture allows me to focus entirely on who your horse is: the gleam in their eye, the arch of their neck, the power in their stance, the softness in their expression. It's portraiture in its purest form, wholly devoted to capturing your horse's beauty, heart, and soul.
For those who wish to be included, I also create fine art that celebrates the connection you shareβthe quiet moments, the unspoken understanding, the bond that makes your relationship so special.
Whether you choose individual portraits of your horse, images of you together, or both, the goal is the same: to create museum-quality art that honours what matters most to you.
The Bond Between You
While solo portraits allow me to focus entirely on your horse's individual character, I also create fine art that celebrates the connection you share. These portraits capture the quiet moments, the unspoken understanding, the profound bond that makes your relationship so special.
Sessions can include individual portraits of your horse, images of you together, or bothβwhatever feels right for honouring your unique story.
A Timeless Legacy
Our horses give us so much, partnership, joy, comfort, purpose. Commissioning fine art is a way to honour that gift. It's a piece that will outlive trends, that can be passed down through generations, that tells future family members: "This horse mattered. This horse was loved."
Whether your horse is young and full of fire, steady and wise in their prime, or older and deserving of tribute, fine art captures their legacy in a way that will endure.
You're Not ExcludedβYou're the Curator
When you commission fine art of your horse, you're not absent from the story, you're the one who made it possible. You're the curator, the patron, the devoted owner who said, "My horse deserves to be celebrated as art."
Every time you look at that piece on your wall, you'll feel the love, the pride, and the deep connection you share. The artwork becomes a reflection of your devotion to them.

How we Work Together
Each commission begins with a heartfelt conversation about your horse and the bond you share. From there, I guide you through a gentle, creative process to design a piece that reflects their true essence. Whether itβs a individual portrait or photographs celebrating the bond you share, every detail is crafted with care to create something youβll treasure forever. See below how we work together.
Your artwork journey begins with a phone call, where weβll explore your vision for the final piece and the unique personality of your horse.
I work across three mediums, all beginning with traditional photography: fine art prints, original cyanotype prints, and photo-encaustic artworks created using a blend of oil paint, beeswax, and photography. Each technique offers its own expressive beauty and is available in a range of sizes and budgets.
Once youβve chosen your preferred style and size, weβll schedule your photography day and pencil in a date.
You can choose to pay in full, secure your booking with a deposit and pay the balance a week before the photography day, or spread the cost over 6 months.
Your Vision, Our Collaboration
Every commission is a unique and collaborative journey. Your input is invaluable throughout, ensuring the final artwork perfectly reflects your horse and the love you share.

02 / CREATive Process
Create: A Day Dedicated to Your Horse
Your photography day is all about celebrating your horse - their character, their spirit, their essence and if you wish, the profound connection you share together.
.The session lasts around two hours and is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, allowing your horseβs true spirit to shine.
Weβll begin at the stable, capturing a series of classic, emotive portraits against dark backgrounds using both studio and natural light. Then weβll head outdoors to a location that holds meaning for you β perhaps your horseβs favourite field β to capture them in their natural element.
These photographs form the foundation of your artwork. Over the following weeks, Iβll carefully edit your photographs in preparation for your art consultation.
03 / Art Consultation
Two weeks after your photography session, I'll invite you to a private viewing appointment (in person or virtually). Together, we'll experience your edited collection presented as a curated slideshow - your favourite images brought to life in my studio or comfortably from your home.
During your consultation, you'll choose your pieces to transform into your chosen medium - exquisite fine art prints, original cyanotype artwork, or photo-encaustic pieces - all beautifully framed with archival, museum-grade materials designed to last a lifetime.
You'll also have the opportunity to purchase additional pieces and enjoy a 10% discount on any extra artwork ordered during your appointment."
04 / DELIVERY
Before leaving my studio, each artwork is signed, quality-checked, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Your bespoke piece will be ready approximately 6β8 weeks after your consultation. If youβre in the UK, Iβll do my best to deliver it personally. Otherwise, it will be securely shipped via insured courier or Royal Mail.
Each piece is created to be cherished for a lifetime, its beauty and meaning deepening with every passing year.
Beyond fine art photography
Your commission can be transformed into extraordinary artworks using traditional alternative photographic processes.
I work across three mediums:
Fine Art Photography
Museum-quality archival prints on premium paper, capturing every detail with clarity and depth.
Cyanotype
An ancient photographic process creating luminous prussian blue prints. Each cyanotype is hand-coated, exposed, and developed - a unique original artwork with the ethereal quality of 19th-century photography.
Photo-Encaustic
A fusion of fine art photography, oil painting, and beeswax, creating richly textured mixed-media pieces. Your image is embedded in layers of molten wax, resulting in a luminous, sculptural quality that shifts beautifully in changing light.
Each medium offers its own expressive beauty and is available in a range of sizes to suit your space and budget.
Fine Art photography Prints
Fine art photography centred around your horse, expressive, emotive and capturing the beauty and everything you love about your horse.
.
CYANOTYPes
Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography, known as one of the alternative printing processes. Using hand coated light sensitive papers and sunlight the results are really beautiful prints. No two Cyanotypes are the same giving them a very special uniqueness just like your horse. The distinctive features of the print is its wonderful shade of prussian blue and all the natural tones you can create using natural pigments. They make truly beautiful eye catching artwork for your home
Photo-Encaustics
Encaustic artwork is one-of-a-kind original artwork using photography, beeswax, dammar resin and oil paints. The final artwork is a beautiful piece which shimmers in the light with texture, depth and emotion:
Every commission is a heartfelt collaboration, created to celebrate the bond you share with your horse. If you feel ready to begin your own artwork journey, Iβd love to hear from you and start planning something truly special together.

Our British weather is very unpredictable, I always do a weather check a few days before the commission, if itβs forecast to be wet and muddy then I always recommend that with reschedule the photography commission. I often get clients worried that their yard is not pretty enough, not large enough and not right for a fine art photography commission. Please do not worry, we will have lots of planning conversations, you donβt need large green spaces on your yard to make your photographs beautiful, I have never been to a yard which I am not able to create beautiful photographs. You also have the option to travel with your horse to a special location too if you prefer.
